It was inspiring to read about people’s lucky charms and the stories and meanings behind them. Equally inspiring were the number of entries that listed an intrinstic lucky charms such as a positive attitude, personal responsibility and doing what is right.
The most commonly asked question during our Memory Training Workshop is, “How can I remember a person’s name?” Many time people experience meeting someone and then promptly not being to recall the person’s name. The answer is simple and it is only 2 steps.
First, stop, clear you mind and LISTEN to what they say their name is.
Second, repeat the name back 2 to 3 times.
Okay, simple enough but not necessarily easy. Upon hearing that advice, many people follow up with the question, “How would I clear my mind?” To answer that, I have put together a list of the top 10 ways to clear Read More...

So, I was amusing myself yesterday on my drive home from a sales call (I was up at 5:00 to get there on time which will explain the following wackiness) and I was contemplating what would be the components of the ultimate “guy” movie. (Trust me, I will tie this all together in the end.)
I found the components easy to list: Ninjas, a bank heist, monkeys, Clint Eastwood, the cast of Monty Python, Eddie Murphy (Beverly Hills Cop Eddie, not Dr. Doolittle Eddie), KIT from Nightrider, Teen Wolf, the cast of Oceans 11, a motorcycle gang with mullets, pirates, Mickey Rooney, Alec Baldwin, and Spuds McKenzie, with the Soundtrack written and performed by Metallica and 2PAC Read More...
What do you need a sales manager for that you can’t do for yourself? For example, when it comes to “getting motivated” your sales manager is really of no use to you because you do not need to be motivated to succeed in sales. What you need is FOCUS.
Picture yourself caught up in your own personal version of sales hell. And over there you see the Top Producer in your company, shimmering along through life, raking in the dough. “This stinks” you say to yourself and think, ”Maybe I’m gonna go knock off for the day, get my head together, and come back tomorrow. If I could just get motivated like that guy, I’d be able to do so much better.”
But here is what Read More...
If you want to grow as a person, professionally or personally, you must overcome some barriers to growth. One barrier to growth I have seen hold people back, time and time again, is an unwillingness to take decisive action.
The Solution? You must be willing to take decisive action! Take quick and powerful action if you want to see growth. If you want to see growth, you must begin moving.
If what you are currently doing or trying is not working, what should you do? If you said, ”I should do something else” and I would say “that is not right.” I say that when what you are doing is not working, do ANYTHING else. Simply start moving in a Read More...
The world’s in a crisis, or at least the developed world is. People are afraid of losing the way they’ve always lived their lives; afraid of having no money to pay for what they’ve become accustomed to; afraid of change and what it might bring.
But what actually happens in a crisis, underneath all the drama? Possibility, that’s what. In the midst of everything known going haywire, there are still pockets of possibility into which you can dip. And in these pockets, you find opportunities. Because your back is up against the wall, you’re able to see these opportunities, which is where rich thinking comes in.

i.e. I go to the grocery store every two weeks. I run out of food items during the course of the week, so I Read More...
