A Morning Routine to Get You EXCITED for Your Day

When I woke up this morning, I was so pumped and excited about my life, I just had to take a minute to share some of the techniques I use. These are things I have incorporated into my morning routine which has lead to a difference in my overall attitude and excitement for the day. My attitude was good before and now, with some modifications to my morning routine, my attitude is fabulously phenomenal!

So as soon as I wake up, I am pumping my fist or doing some type of hand motion saying how outstanding and great today is, such as, “I am grateful to be alive and have the abundance around me.” I look at my wife and she is usually sleeping still. She is so beautiful when she is sleeping. Sometimes she Read More...

Video – The Someday Syndrome

In this video, The Someday Syndrome is presented by former US Congressman and speaking legend Ed Foreman.

The someday syndrome strikes when you constantly are looking to the future to be happy. For instance, “Someday, when I get a raise and that new car, then life is going to be really good.” Or, “Someday, when I get married, I will be happy.”

Little Victories Attitude Management Tool

If you want to grow as a person, professionally or personally, you must overcome some barriers to growth.  One barrier to growth I have seen hold people back, time and time again, is an unwillingness to take decisive action.

The Solution?  You must be willing to take decisive action!  Take quick and powerful action if you want to see growth. If you want to see growth, you must begin moving.

If what you are currently doing or trying is not working, what should you do?  If you said, ”I should do something else” and I would say “that is not right.” I say that when what you are doing is not working, do ANYTHING else. Simply start moving in a Read More...

Time Out for Gratitude

With the recession and gloom and doom clouds over Wall Street, a time out for gratitude is in order. It will lift your sprits through these tough times…..and remember, these tough times that WILL get better.

We’ve all heard that we should “Count our Blessings”. While this is a good exercise in gratitude, more importantly, we must realize that we are exactly where we are supposed to be at this very moment. As we realize that there is nowhere else that we are supposed to be then we can begin to understand how incredibly lucky we are to be there.

I could give you an endless list of all the differences between us in America and those in developing countries, we could discuss that a full Read More...

Go Forth and Fail – From Setback to Success

How is it that the most successful people have gotten to where they are? Is it because they are smarter or more talented then we are? Do they experience success because they have more money? Maybe it is because they are better looking or they are just plain lucky? The stars always seem to line up for them?

I would suggest that the answer to that is a resounding NO! History has hundreds and thousands of examples of how people and organizations have overcome one or all of those examples to lead very productive and highly effective lives.

If you look at your most successful professional athletes, sales professionals, CEOs, students, politicians or even parents, to name a few, there are a Read More...

Pump Up the Jam! What Music Motivates You?

Music has an unbelievable power to inspire and motivate us. We have all had moments in our life when a song has picked us up off the ground and got us back into the game or at times has taken us from good to great in business, family or personal lives.

Music has the power to help us focus, relax, laugh & even allow us to cry. Music has the ability to change our emotional state and move us in ways that the spoken word cannot. Sometimes it is just the feeling it gives us or the words within the song get us thinking and challenge us to be better. Many of us have that one song that whenever the “chips are down” we pop it in our iPods and suddenly all is clearer, better, sweeter, happier, livelier, Read More...

The Proper Care and Feeding of Your Attitude

As a reader of this blog, you’ve likely given some thought to the whole idea of your “attitude.”  I mean, even the most casual student of Personal Development usually has a corny but helpful poster with some pithy saying about “attitude” right?  Some of the more popular ones:

“Attitude is everything!”
“It’s your attitude, not your aptitude that determines your altitude”
“Attitude is contagious- is yours worth catching?”

Or pick your favorite. There are lots of options, and I think that’s great- in fact I have some of those very posters! What we’re hoping for with this article is to go a Read More...

Your Attitude and How to Add Laughter to Your Life

I believe laughter truly is the best medicine. Uncle Albert says it perfectly in Mary Poppins when he sings, “The more I laugh the more I fill with glee, and the more the glee the more I’m a merrier me.” Yeah, okay, I realize that’s silly but it’s true. I mean laughter makes you happy or at least it makes you happier than if you’re not laughing.

According to Web M.D. and healthguide.org, laughter has been proven to Read More...
