Instant Attitude Boost Tool

Roger SeipAt Freedom Personal Development, we are all about attitude. I have taught countless workshops and given keynote speeches across the country on this topic and wanted to share one of the most important attitude management tools you have.

I always start a class or speech with an informal survey of the audience about whether their attitude is a talent or a skill. A talent being something that you are either born with or not; you have it or your do not. And a skill is something that you will learn through conscious efforts.

People tend to argue with and say that their attitude is a talent, and not a skill. But, then I ask them this question, “Are there things you can proactively and consciously do Read More...

A Morning Routine to Get You EXCITED for Your Day

When I woke up this morning, I was so pumped and excited about my life, I just had to take a minute to share some of the techniques I use. So as soon as I wake up, I am pumping my fist or doing some type of hand motion saying how outstanding and great today is, such as, “I am grateful to be alive and have the abundance around me.” I look at my wife and she is usually sleeping still. She is so beautiful when she is sleeping. Sometimes she Read More...

AttitudeThere are times when we must go through negative situations. Maybe people say something negative about us, or they show rejection or even resentment against us. In such situations, it may be difficult to stay positive. We may be inclined to react negatively to them. That won’t do us any good though; doing so will just make the situation worse. Top 10 Tips on How to Stay Positive When the Things are Negative

Filed under: Attitude Management, Top 10 Lists — Tags: , , , , — Freedom Personal Development @ 6:00 am

Positive AttitudeHaving and maintaining a positive attitude is vital for success in life and business. Zig Ziglar gets it right when he says, “It is your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude.”

Sure you need skills, but you can learn skills – in fact a positive attitude will make it much more likely that you will learn the skills necessary to succeed. If you take two people with an equal skill set the person with the better attitude will win.

Unfortunately it is not always easy to stay positive and keep a good attitude. As things go wrong throughout your day, it is easy to let negative thoughts start to take over. Thankfully there are many things that you can do to help maintain a positive attitude. Read More...

Proactively Managing Your Attitude Input Sources

Roger SeipGarbage In, Garbage……OUT, right? Well, if you were a computer that would be the correct equation. With the computer that we call our brain, the equation is more like this:

Garbage In = Garbage Stays In and Screws Up Every Aspect of your Life!

It is true that the things we allow into our minds will unquestionably dictate the results that we see in our careers, our families, and our lives. Unfortunately, the default setting for these input sources is predominantly negative.

If you think about the things you read, watch and listen to, you know that if you pay too much attention to them it is really easy to feel that you are surrounded by death and destruction.

The Difference Between Joy and Happiness

Joy, oh I love talking about joy. I’ve done hundreds of interviews where I have the opportunity to talk about joy and I tell people all the time that I’m thrilled and proud to work with an organization that values joy. Joy is our second core value and we live it everyday.

Many people often struggle with what joy is. How does joy affect your everyday life and how can you make sure that are pursuing it? Joy is a word that’s taken for granted and often gets confused with happiness. So stop and think about it for second. What’s the difference between joy and happiness?

Well, I would argue that happiness Read More...

Little Victories Attitude Management Tool

If you want to grow as a person, professionally or personally, you must overcome some barriers to growth.  One barrier to growth I have seen hold people back, time and time again, is an unwillingness to take decisive action.

The Solution?  You must be willing to take decisive action!  Take quick and powerful action if you want to see growth. If you want to see growth, you must begin moving.

If what you are currently doing or trying is not working, what should you do?  If you said, ”I should do something else” and I would say “that is not right.” I say that when what you are doing is not working, do ANYTHING else. Simply start moving in a Read More...
